Missoula Wildlife Film Festival

May 13th, 2007 by Mark Baker

This week is the 30th International Wildlife Film Festival at the Roxie & Wilma Theaters in Missoula. There are lots of movies summarized here. And more scheduling information here (pdf). We’ve been lucky enough to catch some of this festival in past years and highly recommend it. Bonus: there is sushi just up the street.

Lady In The Water

May 11th, 2007 by Mark Baker

It seems that most people don’t like the movie Lady In The Water, but we rented it last night and we both enjoyed it. I looked at reviews this morning and apparently the critics hated it. In fact the director won the Razzie award for worst director of the year?!

It is kind of a fantasy/myth set in the modern world. Not at all normal Hollywood fare, rated PG13, K & R Video (222 W Main Street G’ville) has it on DVD.

Have you seen it? What did you think?

Sunset Auto Vue is Open

May 2nd, 2007 by Mark Baker

The Drive In reopens this weekend! The weather is getting warmer and it still gets dark early enough to make it perfect for a cozy not too late date night in front of the big screen double bill. $6 for adults, $4 for children. Cool dogs get in free. Hot dogs available at the concession stand. We’ll be there soon, spilling popcorn as we adjust the blanket and fiddle with the radio (when the music gets scary).
