This delightful annual event will be the weekend of July 18-19. Lots of colorful history, a parade, a quilt show, music, variety show and a beautiful trip down the old Elk City Wagon Road for the adventerous. Starting in Clearwater and moving on to Elk City. The monthly winter dances at the Clearwater Grange Hall start their season again on Nov 10th. Second Saturday of every month from 1-6pm, potluck at 4. Music provided by the Just Us Band. I highly recommend you go to at least one, there is nothing quite like it. Good music and dancing, really great folks, and a lot of very wholesome fun.

The Clearwater parade and Wagon Road Variety Show is this weekend. This is one of my favorite annual events. Quilts, food, music, car show, parade (usually going back and forth a couple of times) and a trip through the woods down the old wagon road with a show at the end.

I read in the Free Press that there is a call out for talent for the Wagon Road Days Variety Show on 7/14 at the end of the road in Elk City. If you are interested in performing contact the Mattsons at 926 4461. I have enjoyed this show in years past and The Friends of the Elk City Wagon Road do a great job putting it all together. There is apparently a planning meeting this Saturday 5/5 at 11 am at the Clearwater Grange.

I can add that the Clearwater parade of old wagons that starts it all off is wonderful and there are frequently some vendor/art booths and an associated quilt show at the Clearwater Odd Fellows. Mark your calendars now, the weekend of 7/14.
